Dr. John C. Parker

For Dr. John C. Parker, medicine is not only a passion, but it is also a dedicated family tradition. He is a fourth-generation physician whose family’s medical practice in Wake County dates back to 1897, beginning with Dr. James Mahlon Judd, a community physician whose name remains locally recognized.

He served as chief resident and clinical instructor at the University of Kentucky, and he currently serves
as a Consulting Associate in the Duke University Department of Medicine. In addition, he’s also a Clinical
Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He practiced endocrinology in Wilmington, North Carolina for more than two decades prior to joining
Raleigh Medical Group. He is board-certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes and
metabolism.

As an investigator in numerous clinical trials, Dr. Parker is a frequently published contributor to medical
research. His areas of clinical focus include:

American College of Endocrinology.

In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, a Fellow of the American College of
Physicians, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
